Fat Fighter's Menu Mate

To help you design your menu for the day, we've compiled the following menu mate, which lists hundreds of everyday foods according to how much fat they contain in a serving. When you choose your food according to how much fat you can "afford," you also find out how many extras you can eat. Have 10 grams of fat to spend at the end of the day? Pick out two 5's or a bit of chocolate for 9. Want to round out your breakfast with less than a gram of extra fat? Have half a cantaloupe, a peach, or some grapes.

You'll also find a few surprises here. Some very popular snack foods like nuts and seeds, for example, are devastatingly high on the chart. A sweet, refreshing mango, on the other hand, will delight your mouth, satisfy your craving for a snack, and fit perfectly into your fat budget.
